We are looking for a talented Bar/Venue Manager to oversee the bar and leisure facilities at an iconic Blackpool family entertainment venue. You will be a motivating leader, have the previous experience to manage, train and support your team and also be able to manage the responsibility for the venue as Duty Manager in the absence of the General Manager.As the Bar Manager, you will be uncompromising where standards are concerned and have a track record of success in a similar role within a quality driven organisation. Attention to detail is important to us, and you will ensure the highest standards are maintained throughout the venue and that our guest's expectations are exceeded.You will be responsible for ensuring that the day to day management is smooth and focussed. You will have had previous exposure to financial management, cellar management, budgeting and key holder responsibilities. Flexible hours and Bank holiday working will be expected from this position due to the nature of the business.This is a fast paced, diverse role, requiring plenty of previous experience in a similar environment. This is a great opportunity with excellent long term prospects and progression opportunities for the right individual.Key Responsibilities:* Control venues to meet sales targets and operate within budgeted costs, spend control beverage stocks, money and all other company equipment within area of responsibility* Organise period stocktaking of all company assets within the areas of responsibility, interpret results and take appropriate action.* Encourage sales by the marketing and display of products to their best advantage.* To manage cellar to ensure optimum quality of product, cleanliness and safe storage, with the minimum of wastage.* Maximise gross percentage through application of appropriate sales mix.* Make sure all team members have comprehensive product knowledge and ensure arcades, bars and bar areas are clean, tidy and well presented to enhance the overall standard of the venue.* Assisting in the compilation of the annual budget.* Dealing effectively and efficiently with customer complaints following the company guidelines/Best Practices.* Developing and maintaining relationships with team leaders and members through support, coaching, monitoring and appraisals.* Following and enforcing all relevant legislation including health and safety, hygiene, fire and licensing laws.* Liaising with the General Manager to ensure the business objectives and the priorities of the company are met.* Taking Duty Manager responsibilities in the absence of the General Manager as and when requiredIf you are a real customer focused Bar Manager and are looking for an exciting new position then please get in touch with us today!
