Our client is a Blackpool (FY1) based Academy with new build facilities, local parking and 360 pupils on roll, their curriculum is tailored to ensure it meets all needs, placing emphasis on growth, possibility and community. This client is situated in central Blackpool and accessible via public transport routes. Our client aims to give all children a wide range of experiences to allow them to flourish throughout school life which includes the development of the key skills and knowledge they need to thrive throughout their educational journey. This is an inclusive and diverse school with a wide range of learning styles, needs and abilities.
Currently they require a Teacher or TA to deliver intervention sessions Monday – Friday 12:30-4 for 12 weeks February – May 2023, potentially until June.
Within these sessions you will need to cover English and maths skills, predominantly for Y6 children at the moment. This will include spelling, Grammar and punctuation with some writing interventions too and some arithmetic interventions also. There will be a mixture of groups of 3 and 1:1 tutoring. Due to the curriculum and subject knowledge required for this role the school is looking for a teacher. The hourly rate is negotiable but down to the decision of the school. Ideally you will need prior intervention/ catch up experience or a proven record of pupil development and attainment.
Completing a start point assessment with the pupils.
Planning and tracking pupil progression.
Using school facilities and resource's with the ability to adapt content for pupils where needed.
Experience with differentiation.
Ability to cater and support a variety of learning styles.
Keeping up-to-date records of student's progression and learning.
Ensuring the safeguarding of all pupil's.

Relevant qualifications (PGCE, QTS etc.)
High knowledge of the EYFS/ KS1 national curriculum.
Two references from the last 5 years (1 must be a full child-based safeguarding reference)
