IT Support Engineer – Blackpool – £30,000 to £37,000

Principal IT are working exclusively with a Plumbing and Heating company based in Hull but have an immediate requirement for an IT Support Engineer for their offices in Blackpool. Our client has been around for over 100 years, during this time they have come on leaps and bounds and now pride them selves on providing the best quality boilers in the UK.

Following the increase in demand for an IT Support Department within the business our client is looking for an experienced IT Support Engineer. They’re looking for someone who can join the team and hit the ground running and get up to speed with their various systems and help provide a service to the 250+ business users. In this role you will also provide a combination of onsite technical support and field based. To be successful in this role they’re looking for someone who can demonstrate a combination of technical skills, clear communication and works well under pressure.

J ob Responsibilities:

1st and 2nd line service desk support.

Provide desktop assistance for onsite users across multiple sites & remote workers using VPN & Cloud platforms.

Provide mobile support for iPhone, iPad, and Samsung mobile devices.

Support locally developed Apps in conjunction with Gledhill lead developer.

Ensure all Incidents and Service Requests are logged in ITSM tool (Service Desk Plus Cloud).

Provide hands on Infrastructure support for the Divisional Support Team as required.

Admin duties such as IT equipment order processing & Asset management.

This technical role will provide a great opportunity for an individual to join an established team and develop technical skills further with formal training and career progression opportunities.

Please not this role may require you to work out of hours (Evenings & Weekends) also requires a clean driving license.

Experience Required:

Experience using Office 365

Experience of Network (LAM/WiFi) & Server Administration

Exposure to VMWare

Experience to Azure

Minimum of 3 years IT Support Experience (1st & 2nd Line Support)

Excellent communication skills

The Package:

If successful our client is offering a salary of between £30,000 to £37,000 per annum + 22 days holiday plus bank holidays, company contributed pension scheme as well as a Laptop and a company mobile phone.
