As they continue their planned UK growth strategy, they now need several new team members for mid to long term opportunities. On the back of a series of sustained large project wins, they currently have the following vacancy.
Quantity Surveyor
They should offer experience within either, Commercial, Retail, Hospitality, Residential, Refurb or Fit out.
The Quantity Surveyor will be getting involved in the early stages of a project and managing the process to the finishing account. They will be advising all members of the team about cost management and contractual obligations across a project. Working alongside a vibrant and developing team there is opportunity for further career progression.
The ideal candidate for the job role should:
• Show a proactive approach towards their work
• Have a relevant degree (construction)
• Be professionally qualified (MRICS MCIOB)
• Have significant and extensive post graduate experience within construction.
The role:
• Influence and enhance the profitability and operating effectiveness of the business.
• Manage build costs, cash flows and budget financial information.
• Report development/ build-related expenditure adding value to the wider business and delivering the commercial objectives
• Manage partnerships with Housing Associations, third party providers and sub-contractors to ensure that all terms are met and all orders are placed, managed and settled.
• Determine and agree site start programs and timescales.
• Assist in the production of comprehensive Commercial reports/estimates for inclusion in Land Appraisals.
• Achieve the payment and PFA reporting timetable.
• Manage communications and operational interfaces with internal and external stakeholders.
• Produce reports and updates on all KPIs relating to the commercial function.
• Comply with the Company’s Health and Safety and Environmental and Corporate Responsibility Policies and all other company policies.
• Take pride in being a Quantity Surveyor and set great examples for junior staff.
